40 pounds down!

I know my progress has been extremely slow over the past 6 months but honestly I am fine with that. My initial weight loss was a result of being very dedicated to a low carb ketogenic style diet.  When I was eating like that, the weight seemed to melt off.  After March of this year I started easing myself back into eating carbs and am proud that I was able to maintain the weight I had lost while not being as strict with my diet. Now I am ready to move to the next phase of weight loss and am about to start my low carb diet again. Especially after weighing in at 195 today which officially marks 40 pounds lost from my highest weight! 

Breakfast today! Eaten on a bed of mixed greens. So good.
Also went to the farmers market after class this afternoon and bought my first spaghetti squash of the season! I am so excited, yay fall is here!!!

Day 5, Pure Cardio

Good workout but I cannot do switch kicks or push up jacks for the life of me.

Hello Long’s Peak, I will be climbing you in a week. Spur of the moment trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, leaving Sunday! Went out today and bought some new hiking boots, Tevas, and a Nalgene. 

Going to throw off my insanity schedule a bit but I will make up for it in hiking. Long’s Peak is 14,259 ft, the trail is 8 miles each way. I am so excited right now this is just what I need!

Insanity day 4: Cardio Recovery

Didn’t expect to sweat as much as I did during this workout. I liked that it was a bit slower, but those squat holds are no joke! 

Its amazing that just after four days I feel so much stronger and better about my body, must be those endorphins pumping! Excited for pure cardio tomorrow. 

Day 3 of Insanity done!

Now eating a nice, big healthy lunch of 3 scrambled eggs, spinach salad w/roasted red pepper and light dressing, and greek yogurt w/chia seeds. Then a shower and off to work for the evening. Hope all of you have a lovely day!
